Opening Prayer
*Opening Hymn Let Us with a Gladsome Mind (#234 VU|vs.1-4)
Prayer of Confessional and Renewal (Unison)
Loving God, you teach us how to pray, yet we often forget what it truly means. You ask us to seek you, but sometimes we chase after things that do not satisfy us. You give us the bread we need, but we want more than enough. You encourage us to forgive, but we hold on to hurt and anger. Help us to pray not only with words but also with hearts open to your Spirit. Give us the courage to ask, to seek, and to knock, trusting that you are already with us, offering what is good and guiding us with hope and love. (a time of silent confession) Amen.
Words of Assurance
One: Jesus teaches us to ask, seek, and knock, trusting that God hears our prayers.
All: God’s presence surrounds us always, ready to receive our every word.
One: We are held steadfast in hope that encourages us to live out God’s peace and love.
All: Thanks be to God, whose grace welcomes us always. Amen.
